Another Evan post

kyaraelfSo yesterday was an artifical milestone. Yesterday Evan gave a girl a flower for the first time. I think I've mentioned Caitlen before. She is Evan's older woman. She and her mom and Evan and I all get to the daycare at opening. We very often hang out in the vestibule before we are allowed into the building proper. Evan and Caitlen hug and kiss every morning we see them. She dotes on him.
Caitlen turned five yesterday.
She had given Evan a birthday present and I wanted to give her one from Evan. I had this crazy idea that Evan should give her a flower because that is what boys give their girlfriends. I did not get to the store this weekend though. J did. He bought her a Minnie Mouse toy. I had told him about my crazy flower idea and how one of those plush flowers on a wire would probably be perfect but I didn't think he'd be able to find one. Well he did. Caitlen's mom thought it was the cutest thing. So did I. I hope Caitlen did as well but it was hard to tell.
